Healing companion: Multi-sensory design

This project was developed as part of a Multi-sensory Design course and focused on supporting children during their recovery journey in the hospital. We designed a multi-sensory character for the pediatric ICU, combining sensory mapping, prototyping, and child-centered design to explore how sound, light, touch, and interaction can contribute to comfort and emotional support. Our research methods included sensory experience mapping, and scenario development, which helped us understand the sensory environment of the ICU and identify opportunities to create meaningful, calming interactions for young patients.
